Fairfax Northern Virginia Hematology Oncology to launch Fairfax Northern Virginia Hematology Oncology to launch Advance Care Planning in 2010 In collaboration with Fairfax Northern Virginia Hematology Oncology (FNVHO), Innovent Oncology assisted with Advance Care Planning (ACP) Facilitator training for six nurse practitioners on Dec 8. ACP is an ongoing process of learning about the choices one has related to future healthcare if he/she becomes unable to express them. Led by David Dunning, MD, Maureen Ross and Linda Anderson, FNVHO’s ACP initiative will launch in January 2010 at the Fairfax location and then roll out to 6 additional locations throughout the year. “With so much interest in end-of-life issues, I am excited that Fairfax Northern Virginia is extending their expertise in palliative care by offering ACP services", states Roy Beveridge, MD.
